Wood is a living material. It reacts to the environment, to pressure and to the way it is processed. Bending wood means understanding its nature and guiding it into shape without forcing it. Our task is to modify the physical state of the wood without breaking its structure.

Solid wood bending

Solid wood bending is a process that allows the material to be shaped while maintaining the continuity of the grain, ensuring curved elements with superior structural strength compared to those obtained through cutting or gluing. Through the controlled application of heat, pressure and dedicated molds, the wood is gradually brought to the desired shape without compromising its natural structure. This technique requires experience and a deep knowledge of wood anatomy: understanding its fibers, timing and reactions is essential to guide its transformation. Bending solid wood does not simply mean forcing it into a mold, but rather working with its natural strength and resistance, enhancing the value of a continuous structure. Our work consists precisely in transforming technical principles and craftsmanship into precise and functional shapes, using exclusively natural systems without chemical additives or processes that could alter the purity and quality of the wood.

Outdoor Furniture

Medeot Garden Line is born from the meeting of design, craftsmanship and respect for the environment. For this collection we chose robinia wood, the most naturally weather-resistant European wood. Unlike many exotic woods, often subject to uncontrolled deforestation, robinia comes from managed supply chains and controlled reforestation, representing a sustainable choice without compromising quality and durability.

A distinctive element of the collection is the bent wood process, which preserves the continuity of the grain, ensuring greater structural resistance and a natural uninterrupted texture. Medeot Garden Line collections are available either entirely in wood or with textilene seat and backrest, and are entirely designed and manufactured in Italy, representing the authentic quality and tradition of true Made in Italy.

The company

Medeot Mario Srl is a company specialized in solid wood bending, a sector in which it has been operating continuously since 1965.

The production facility covers an indoor area of approximately 3,000 square meters within a total property of over 10,000 square meters.

Thanks to modern machinery and CNC processing, it is possible to manufacture curved wood elements both standard and custom-designed according to the client's specifications.

Upon request and based on customer drawings, we can produce curved solid wood elements of any kind for chairs, tables and similar products. We can also supply logs, lumber and semi-finished wood materials (particularly hardwoods).
